Zlatibor mountain is a wavy plateau in Serbia, which belongs to the Dinaric mountain range and the region of Stari Vlah and Raška. It is known as the ‘clean air spa’, and represents the most important mountain tourism centre. Due to its unique environmental, biological, cultural and aesthetic values, in 2017 Zlatibor was proclaimed a nature park, and in 2023 the first-class tourist destination, which comprises three parts: Zlatibor centre, Zlatibor settlement, and Zlatibor periphery. The conferenece host is going to organise a ride by ’Gold Gondola’ lift
The ’Gold Gondola’, with its nine-kilometre-long route, is the longest panoramic gondola lift in the world. It has 72 cabins, and can transport 800 travellers per hour. The ride from the boarding station in the centre of Zlatibor to the end point at the top of Tornik takes about 30 minutes, and spans the elevation difference of 531m. The stopover point at the Lake of Ribnica, halfway to Tornik, provides travellers with an opportunity to take a break and admire the scenery.
